Process Groups:

Traditionally project management involves many elements such as five project management process groups and a control system. Irrespective of the procedure or expressions used, the same basic project management processes or stages of development will be used. Major process groups generally include:

  1. Initiation:

The initiating methods regulate the nature and scope of the project. The key project controls required here are a knowledge of the business environment and making sure that all essential controls are combined into the project. Any lacks should be stated and a reference should be made to fix them.

The initiating stage should include a plan that includes the following areas:

  • Investigating the business needs in measurable objectives
  • Studying the current situation
  • Financial analysis of the costs
  • Stakeholder investigation, with users, and support employees for the project
  • Project charter with costs, tasks, deliverables, and agendas
  • SWOT analysis powers, weaknesses, chances, and threats to the business
  1. Planning:

After the initiation phase, the project is planned to a suitable level of detail. The main objective is to plan time, cost and resources sufficiently to evaluate the work needed and to effectively manage risk during project implementation. It includes:

  • Defining how to plan
  • Evolving theScope Management
  • Choosing the planning team
  • Classifying deliverables and creating the work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Classifying the actions needed to complete those deliverables and networking the actions in their logical sequence
  • Estimating the resource requests for the actions
  • Approximating time and cost for actions

  • Developing quality assurance events

  1. Production or execution:

While implementing, we must know what are the terms we are planned in planning it might be executed interaction. The implementation part guarantees that the project management plan's deliverables are implemented accordingly. This phase includes proper distribution, coordination and organisation of human resources and any other resources such as material and finances. 

  1. Monitoring and controlling:

Monitoring and controlling include those processes completed to detect project implementation so that potential problems can be recognised in a timely manner and corrective action can be taken, when necessary, to control the implementation of the project.

  • Monitoring the ongoing project actions.
  • Measuring the project variables alongside the project management plan and the project performance baseline.
  1. Closing:

Closing involves the formal receipt of the project and the ending thereof. Administrative actions include the archiving of the files and recording lessons learned.

About Cambridge

Cambridge is a university city and the county town in Cambridgeshire in England. It is located on the River Cam about 50 miles north of London. Its population is about 123,867. Local Government

Cambridge is a non-metropolitan district that is served by Cambridge City Council in England. Cambridge Local Authority District covers most of the urban area of the city. The headquarters of the city is in Guildhall (large building in the market square). In 1207, King John granted the Cambridge, which allowed the appointment of a mayor. Now, mayors are elected annually.

Westminster

Most of the city is protected by the parliament constituency of Cambridge. In general elections of 2015, Daniel Zeichner was elected as Member of Parliament (MP). He was re-elected in the general elections of 2017. Heidi Allen is the MP of Queen Edith’s ward that lies in the South Cambridgeshire constituency. Geography

Cambridge is located about 50 miles north-by-east of the London. This county town was historically surrounded by low-lying wetlands which have been drained with the expansion of the town. The river calm flows through the village of Grantchester to the south-west.

Climate

Cambridge has two official weather observing stations. One is National Institute of Agricultural Botany, and another is Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Also, the University's Computer Laboratory displays weather conditions online through web browsers.

Ecology

Cambridge contains three sites of scientific Interest at Cherry Hinton West Pit, Cherry Hinton East Pit and Travellers Pit, and ten Local Nature Reserves.

Demography

It’s hard to measure demography of Cambridge as it changes considerably. In 2001 census, 89.44% residents of Cambridge identified themselves as white. Inside University, 84% of undergraduates and 80% postgraduates identify themselves as white. Cambridge has a higher proportion than average of people paid in managerial and administrative jobs and much lower than average proportion of manual workers. Also, much higher than average proportion of people having a high-level qualification like degree, Master’s, PhD or Higher National Diploma.
